After we arrived in El Fuerte a tour to a local family residence where they were preparing tortillas and making pottery bowls. Entertainment included native dances. The evening included an excellent dinner and a "visit" with Zorro (which El Fuerte is his birthplace).
Our drive to Huatabampito went well with only
one small delay. One of our group missed
a designated turn and we had to wait for our “tailgunner” to go and locate
them. Our campsite was about 20 KM from
the town of Huatabampo. It is a campsite
located right at the ocean beach. The
afternoon was warm but as the sun lowered in the sky the temperature
dropped. We had two nights here enjoying
the quiet and warm sunny days. The rv park is in a beautiful location but the services were a challenge. AC power was erratic and an over voltage "smoked' our satellite receiver and another rv's inverter.
