Alamos January 16 & 17 2016

We had a great walking tour of the city of Alamos followed by a "mini bus" tour of some of the outer parts of the city.  The tour guide was very knowledgeable and a great sense of humour.   We were treated to an evening following a local group singing and serenading through the streets of Alamos.

We're told not all the soldiers have bullets but who's going to provoke them!?

El Fuerte January 18, 2016

After we arrived in El Fuerte a tour to a local family residence where they were preparing tortillas and making pottery bowls.  Entertainment included native dances. The evening included an excellent dinner and a "visit" with Zorro (which El Fuerte is his birthplace).

Typical native farm life.

Zorro put on an energetic show for us.

Our ladies were enthralled with Zorro!

Huatabampito January 14 & 15, 2016

Huatabampito – January 14 & 15, 2016

Our drive to Huatabampito went well with only one small delay.  One of our group missed a designated turn and we had to wait for our “tailgunner” to go and locate them.  Our campsite was about 20 KM from the town of Huatabampo.  It is a campsite located right at the ocean beach.  The afternoon was warm but as the sun lowered in the sky the temperature dropped.  We had two nights here enjoying the quiet and warm sunny days. The rv park is in a beautiful location but the services were a challenge. AC power was erratic and an over voltage "smoked' our satellite receiver and another rv's inverter.
