We stayed at the La Parota RV Resort which is located adjacent to a beautiful Pacific Ocean beach located in Lo de Marcos. This is definitely one of the nicest parks we have stayed on the entire trip.
Although no organized tours have been set we have ventured out to Puerto Vallarta (one hour drive). We had to use the spare trailer tire enroute to Lo de Marcos and to no avail we were unable to find the right size replacement tire. Seems the Mexican tire shops do not carry 10 ply truck or trailer tires!!! I inquired about ordering tires from the US and response was no. We have managed to borrow a spare tire from Paul, our Wagon Master, that should get us back to the States!
On March 17 we drove over to a neighbouring town Sayulita, to have lunch with Gerry and Rose Goudreau (friends from our Hay River days) and their daughter Mariettte and her family. Gerry was celebrating his birthday and it was wonderful to see them all again.
